What is pain?

Is it physical, spiritual, emotional; or a combination of the three?

Sometimes I feel only one at a time while other times the pain in one of these categories seems so overwhelming that it floods into the others.

Why does Gos allow so much pain in this world?

But I guess that real question would be why we don't always run to Him to help with that pain.

I feel the emotional pain of losing a loved one and seeing the ones I love hurting;

Which has the potential to turn into spiritual pain if I let myself question and get angry at God.

Then the physical, which I have already been through of trying to ease someone else's pain by causing pain to myself.

Why is pain so simple and yet so complex?  Sometimes we know the exact source of our pain such as the rock we just stubbed our toe on.  And other times it is difficult to pinpoint the cause of our distress.

Pain, it is very confusing at times, but the solution is always and will always be as simple as surrendering to our Lord and letting Him either take our pain away or carry us through those times in our lives.

That is pain.
